Our First Muffin Tin Monday Submission

Little G loves her muffin tin meals. This one is breakfast with grapes, waffle with Sunbutter, and string cheese.

We had an icky experience all around with this most recent trip to TGIFridays. I asked about their menu options for Little G. The server went to ask the manager and did not come back for about 15 min. He came to take our order, and we asked about the menu. He said his manager was looking for the information. After another 10-15min the server came out with a notebook (un-dated) of the items that they purchase with the top 8 allergens listed. This gave me some idea of which items were safe, but nothing 100% because I had to guess which ingredients were used in the menu items. We will probably not be going back.

They were so kind, and we really enjoyed the food. Little G just had rice. They did not have any options that they were comfortable telling us were peanut free. They use a lot of peanut oil. I'm sure that it was the safe kind of oil, but we just let her have the rice just in case. They do have gluten free and soy free menu's available.

January 24 reaction?

Little G was loving her baked beans with dinner. Her face turned bright red. We believe that it was a topical reaction to the sauce because she was rubbing it in to her face and eyes. She did also cough and gag when in the bath, but we are unsure if it could have been from trying to drink bath water. We did not give her benedryl.

January 22 Reaction?

Little G ate Chik-Fil-A french fries with ketchup. Her face was very red, and she had some tiny red bumps around her mouth. We gave her a bath, and benedryl as the red bumps were still on her lip after her bath. We also noticed 2 spots on her head and that her eczema on her legs was exaggerated. weird?

Unsure of allergic reaction, or just topical reaction to ketchup...

maybe no more Chik Fil A? Although, it isn't supposed to cause a reaction

January 15th Reaction

I took Little G to the public library. As I put her in the car seat to leave, I noticed a red line around her lips like lip-liner. She was VERY quiet all the way to Chic-Fil-A and home. When I tool her out I noticed that the red was still there. She ate french fries with me, and dipped them in barbecue sauce. Her bottom lip began to swell a little more, and she developed some hives (i think) on her face and legs. Her face was bright red. This seems to happen when she has barbecue sauce or baked beans with sauce. I think it may be a topical reaction. She was given benedryl and a bath, and was fine.

Little G was playing outside while Mommy and Daddy did yard work. The bunny's cage was also in the yard. She stuck her hand in the bunny's cage and began playing with the food. We do not think that she ate any. I walked over to remover her from the situation. Her hands were swollen and her hands and arms had hives. We put her in the bath immediately and gave her benedryl. I e-mailed the rabbit food company. They said that the food does not contain peanuts, but is processed on the same equipment as food that does.

She also could have had a reaction from any number of plants outside while we did yard work, from our trip to Home Depot about 1-2 hrs before, or from church that morning.
